Founder & Creative Director, Cheria Farquharson
Our Founder & Creative Director, Cheria Farquharson has years of experience in the beauty, fashion and television industries as an Editorial Hairstylist for iconic publications such as Vogue, Vogue Italia and Teen Vogue. Her versatile hair creations have been seen in major television shows such as Ramy, NBC’s New Amsterdam and CBS's The Good Fight to name a few. Inspired in 1988 as child by the legendary Florence Griffith Joyner who was known for her bright long tresses and luxurious finger nails her love for nails and hair began. After moving to the United States from England , Cheria was drawn to the creative hairstyles her classmate wore and also delighted to see them wearing nail polish . The early images of her childhood journey inspired her to create NAVYA meaning “Worthy of praise” paying homage to her daughter. NAVYA led her to follow her heart’s passion and curiosity.
